چکیده

Permanent ground displacements/deformations caused by earthquakes can seriously challenge the safety of nuclear power plants. The state-of-the-art hazard analysis methods provide a fault displacement curve, i.e., annual probability given measure will be exceeded. evaluation requires great effort, empirical evidence, and sufficient data for characterization activity capability to cause permanent surface displacement. There are practical cases when at site area revealed active, and, despite this, there no displacements judging on significance For these cases, methodology is proposed that based seismotectonic modelling results probabilistic seismic analysis. method provides conservative assessment allows decision whether relevant plant safety. feasibility applicability demonstrated Paks site, Hungary.
